This feature consists of a scaled down version of SQLDBI designed to run on a laptop
or tablet PC utilizing our synchronization utility. The synchronization utility
keeps the remote configuration up to date with the master system and also handles
all data transfers between the server and client databases.
This feature is built into SQLDBI, so any system can immediately be made available
on remote devices. This is particularly useful for field staff (engineers, inspectors,
auditors, etc.) that need to access the system but may not have access to the Internet.
This utility also allows for synchronizing files such as word documents, spreadsheets,
pictures, etc., to and from remote devices.
Remote device configuration is kept current as part of this utility. If extensions
or modules are added to the server application the field device can download those
changes and be automatically ready to capture data within the new configuration.
